Cell-based Therapy

Autologous Stem Cell Therapy (ACY001)

Arteriocyte has successfully completed its Phase I clinical trial (SEACOAST I) to treat chronic coronary ischemia using patient's own bone marrow-derived hemangioblast stem cells (ACY001), delivered via catheter, without any adverse events. SEACOAST II, a planned Phase II efficacy trial is under development.

Allogeneic Stem Cell Therapy (ALO212)

Arteriocyte is also developing technology to commercialize "off-the-shelf" allogeneic stem cell products. Compared to autologous cell therapies, allogeneic cell therapy has distinct advantages. Arteriocyte, Research & Development is currently investigating ALO212, allogeneic stem cell therapy for the treatment of Chronic Limb Ischemia patients. The stem cell treatment induced therapeutic neovascularization or biologic bypass will enhance the patients' innate ability to develop new blood vessels that would improve perfusion of the ischemic limbs and further limb function.
