With a biofunctional nanofiber-based surface, NANEX™ is designed to partially mimic the bone marrow niche environment that promotes rapid in vivo-like cell growth and expansion while minimizing loss in stem cell phenotype. It is an ideal solution for providing increased numbers of stem cells for basic research, therapeutics, drug discovery, and screening.

Experimental and clinical procedures involving stem cells are challenging because of the sparse population of stem cells available in adult tissues. In addition, it has been well documented that cells cultured on 2D culture surface is not ideal due to its inability to mimic the in vivo stem cell growth environment.
